Why you need a Cencori account

Before you can route AI requests through Cencori, you need an account. Your account is where everything lives — projects, API keys, usage data, team members, and billing. Think of it as your control plane for AI infrastructure.

When you sign up, Cencori automatically creates your first organization. Organizations are the top-level container that groups your projects together. If you're working solo, you'll have one organization with your projects inside it. If you're on a team, everyone shares the same organization and can access the same projects (with role-based permissions).

Sign up for Cencori

Head to the signup page and create your account:

  1. Enter your email and password — or sign in with Google or GitHub for one-click setup
  2. Verify your email — check your inbox for a verification link and click it
  3. You're in — you'll land on the dashboard, which is where we'll spend the rest of this course

The whole process takes about 30 seconds. If you sign up with Google or GitHub, you skip the email verification step entirely.

What you'll see on the dashboard

Once you're logged in, you'll land on the organization overview page. Here's what you're looking at:

  • Projects — A list of your projects (empty for now). We'll create one in the next step.
  • Usage — Real-time usage metrics across all your projects — requests, tokens, cost, and latency.
  • Team — Manage who has access to your organization and what they can do.
  • Settings — Organization-level configuration — billing, API keys, and preferences.

Don't worry about exploring everything right now. We'll walk through the parts that matter as we build.

A note on the free tier

Cencori's free tier includes generous limits for getting started:

  • 1,000 requests per month — more than enough for development and testing
  • All 14 providers — no restrictions on which AI providers you can use
  • Full security pipeline — PII detection, jailbreak protection, and content filtering included
  • Complete logging — every request is logged with full metadata

You don't need a credit card to sign up. The free tier is designed to let you build and test without any friction. When you're ready for production traffic, you can upgrade anytime.
